A long overdue update

I have been away for too long. I'm still getting used to blogging and making time for it. Though I have not been on the lazy side. This is how far I have gotten on Cheshire Cat:

It wasn't until I took a picture I realized how much I've gotten done. I finished all of the black outline. Now, it just feels like I am colouring in the rest. And I'm almost done with her dress. I love all the shades of green

This is also an other project I've been working on. It's going to be a wallhanging, though I have no idea where to hang it. I'm just crazy to start such a large project. So far, I've spent two years working on this. I don't remember where the pattern is from as it's from a book I borrowed and has long since returned. I will try to find it though.

The Cheshire Cat

One of the cross stitch projects I've been working on lately is the Cheshire Cat from Heaven and Earth Designs. It's designed by Hannah Lynn and so cool.
The lighting in the picture is perhaps not the best, but I'm working on where it's best to take pictures. It's stitched 2 over 1 on 14 count aida.

Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorite stories, so when I saw the whole Alice series on HAED, I just had to have it. There are 5 pictures in the series, and I'm really looking forwards to having them all on my wall. Here's a link if you're interested:

I don't remember the exact date I started stitching, but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere at the beginning of January. My strategy when stitching this is to primarily work on all the black, and then fill in the colors as I go. When I tire of the black, I work on colors for a while.

Right now my rotation is one week on this one, and for the next week, I work on a wall-hanging. I've been working on the wall-hanging for 2 years now, so I'm really looking forwards to finishing that one. I'll make a post about it next week and show my progress.

A short introduction

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog.

Blogging is something I've wanted to do for a very long time, but never really worked up the courage to start one. On here I would like to share the things I make, as well as some tips and tricks that I've picked up in the 15 or so years of crafting.

This isn't the only reason why I started this blog, though. When it comes to crafting I have a “problem”. I have too many projects going on at the same time. In fact, it's gotten to the point where I have lost total control. The plan is that when I blog about my many wips, I will see the progress and be inspired to finish them. I will also try not to start new projects, though I can't really promise anything.

I will try to post weekly updates about what progress I've made in the previous week.

Hope you're having a great day, and I'll post an update soon.
